Customer Background
Jiangsu Shuangle originally operated in the printing industry. The company invested heavily in high-end rotary printing presses, serving paper printing, packaging printing (including Boston Packaging-related work), and book & magazine printing, supported by laminating equipment.
With fixed assets reportedly around RMB 500 million, Shuangle is a typical capital-intensive manufacturer. As they evaluated the IBC business, their expectations were clear: measurable capacity, fast cash recovery, and a production setup that could be automated and replicated.
Implementation Experience
In 2023, Shuangle installed two 1000L IBC blow molding configurations—one single-layer and one double-layer—together with a cage line to support stable, end-to-end IBC production.
A key milestone of this project was the adoption of a fully automatic cage line. It became not only a capacity tool, but also a benchmark automation project for Shuangle’s new IBC operation.
Business Impact Customer Takeaways
For Shuangle, payback period was the most decisive metric. Based on the customer’s own comparison:
A printing equipment investment typically required about 5 years to pay back.
The IBC project achieved a payback period of about 18 months.
The customer’s key takeaway was straightforward: IBC manufacturing offered a much faster return cycle. With an automated cage line supporting stable output, the new line helped Shuangle build a repeatable production capability and accelerate investment recovery.
